Ooty(Nilgiris) is one of the important tourist destinations in India.Ooty is located in the mountainous range called the Blue Mountains or Nilgiris, Ooty draws a large number of tourists every year especially in the month of April & May.

The weather is quite pleasant at a mean of 15 to 20 °C year round, dropping to minimum of 0 °C during winter season.

Nearest Airport : Coimbatore(85 kms from ooty)
Nearest Railway station in plains: Mettupalayam(55 kms from ooty)
Ooty is situated on National Highway 67.

Ooty is 85 kms from Coimbatore.Coimbatore is well connected from air/rail/road.There are many trains operating between Coimbatore & major cities in India.

Coimbatore also has a domestic airport and the city is connected with Chennai,Bangalore,Cochin,Calicut,Hyderabad,Mumbai,Pune,NewDelhi,Jammu,Ahmedabad,
Sharjah,Singapore & Colombo(Sri lanka) by flights.

After reaching Coimbatore,there are many buses to ooty (or) After reaching Coimbatore move to Mettupalayam (35 kms from Coimbatore),then go to Ooty by Mountain Train (Nilgiri Mountain Railway was declared by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site).
